Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games
Vancouver, Canada (VANOC)
In 2007, Contemporary International opened an office in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and is currently working closely with the Venue Management team for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

World Boxing Championships 2007
Chicago, USA
For the AIBA World Boxing Championships-Chicago 2007, CI was called in to run key parts of the international event at the UIC Pavilion.
Responsibilities included athlete back of house areas, front of house
operations, accredited entries and workspaces, and integration of
opening ceremony operations.

Rio 2007 Pan-American Games
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (CO-RIO)
CI is the Official Supplier of Event Professionals at theRio 2007 Pan-American & Parapan-American Games. Project scope consists of a two-phase project in Event Services, starting with executive consulting services and followed by provision of several CI Event Professionals to provide central leadership and management within the RIO2007 organization.

Beijing 2008 Olympic Summer Games
Beijing, China (BOCOG)
CI provided master planning and overlay design for Beijing Olympic Green, the largest precinct of venues for the 2008 Olympic Games. Scope involved creating standards, design parameters and protocols to be used for the BOG planning process, advising on operational design issues and Olympic planning best practices.

We have also provided executive consultants to the International Olympic Committee for the Beijing Organizing Committee in the areas of Event Services, Venue Management and Event Environments.

Sundance Film Festival (ongoing)
Park City, Utah
Working within the Sundance Institute organization, CI's Event Professional provide planning and management services to the Theatre Operations, Transportation, Entourage Management and Security Services program for the Sundance Film Festival.

Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games
Melbourne, Australia
CI's involvement consisted of a three-phase project in Event Services, starting with provision of executive consulting services, followed by provision of CI's top management to provide central leadership and management within the Melbourne 2006 organization and culminating in a full implementation of the Event Services function. Scope involved 21 venues, 6 city precincts and 5,550 staff at Games-time.

In addition, CI delivered the general training program for Melbourne 2006 Security personnel.

Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games
Torino, Italy
Comprehensive planning and management of the Torino 2006 Event Services program including provision of the entire locally-recruited venue management team and event staff personnel. Scope involved 15 venues, 100 Management Personnel, and 3,000 staff.

CI also planned and delivered the Event Security Services for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) at the USA House and for Anhueser-Busch at the 'Club Bud' hospitality venue.

Athens 2004 Olympic Summer Games
Athens, Greece
Full outsource of the Event Services program, involving end-to-end planning, management, development and delivery for all Sport Events and the Olympic & Paralympic Games. Scope involved 40 Venues, 200 Management Personnel, and 14,500 staff.

CI senior management personnel provided planning and operational support to ATHOC Senior Executives and other Functional Areas (i.e. Security, Ceremonies, Transportation, Venue Design).

The 2003 Special Olympic World Games
Dublin, Ireland
The Event Services executive consulting project focused on planning support, venue capacity planning, emergency response planning and operational management support.

Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games
Salt Lake City, USA
End-to-end management of the consolidated Event Services and Security programs for all SLOC events (i.e., Test Events, Olympic & Paralympic Games) and sites. Functions involved comprehensive planning and delivery of event services activities as well as pedestrian security screening, 24 hour site security, electronic & physical security, talent & executive protection, SLOC corporate security and sponsor security coordination. Scope involved 35+ venues, 110 management personnel, and 7,000 staff.

Sydney 2000 Olympic Summer Games
Sydney, Australia
End-to-end planning and management for the Spectator Services functional area. Scope involved 43 Venues, 105 Management Personnel (20 International and 85 Local), 14,000 staff (11,500 volunteers and 2,500 paid). Planning Phase - development and management of; pedestrian flow modeling/crowd management analysis, public information, guide to the games, call center operation, mentoring & development of local managers, workforce training and several other areas of integration and management.

CI was also involved in other Event Security Services initiatives outside the Olympic arena. Some of the events/venues included The Royal Easter Show, Stadium Australia, Sydney Football Stadium and the Australian Film Awards.

Atlanta 1996 Olympic Summer Games
Atlanta, USA

As a sub-function of the Venue Management department, the Event Services program included all front-of-house and guest services roles. CI provided planning and management of the Event Services program for the Olympic & Paralympic Games. Responsibilities included 30 venues, with 50+ management personnel and 6,000 staff and volunteers.
