Contemporary International’s Event Security expertise combines our best practices in major event security with our ability to integrate into our client’s organization and local law enforcement. With a comprehensive background in Olympic operations, CI has been able to deliver major security projects for Salt Lake 2002, Melbourne 2006, and now Vancouver 2010.

In Vancouver, Contemporary International - in partnership with the Canadian security companies Aeroguard and United Protection Services - was selected by the Public Works & Government Services Canada to provide Games Security Screening Services to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

As a partnership, Contemporary Security Canada (CSC) will be responsible for all aspects of planning and operational delivery for pedestrian screening areas and secure perimeter operations; which include, but are not limited to magnetometer, X-ray, materials transfer and occupant screening operations across all VANOC competition and non-competition venues.

In addition, CI has worked closely with agencies across numerous countries to tailor operating and training procedures for:

Pedestrian screening including the layout and use of security devices such as magnetometers
Venue perimeter planning including accreditation control
Event security and enforcement of house rules
Asset protection and loss prevention
Emergency response preparation
Games readiness events and simulations

In doing so, we have prepared and managed temporary security workforces that have united efforts from the National Guard, contract security, and event volunteers.
